Sports physiotherapy and rehabilitation after surgery

We use sports rehabilitation to treat and supervise athletes who want to play sports again after an injury.
Sport is fun and healthy, but can sometimes result in injuries. Complaints may occur acute during sports or can linger milder over a longer period of time, which may prevent you from engaging in your activity fully. An injury may also limit your performance at work.

With regards to rehabilitation after surgery, proper treatment with physiotherapy is highly recommended if you want to return to your previous level or if you want to resume your daily activities as soon as possible. After analysing how your muscles and joints are functioning, we set up a personal treatment plan for your rehabilitation process. During this process we work on improving muscle strength, coordination, endurance, flexibility and mobility, so that you can play sports again without complaints and avoid a relapse.

Common injuries that we treat on a daily basis:

  • Achilles tendon injury
  • Elbow complaints
  • Ankle sprain
  • Hamstring injury
  • Hand, wrist or forearm
  • Knee injury, such as anterior cruciate ligament or meniscus injury
  • Groin injury
  • Back injury or back pain
  • Shoulder injury, such as dislocation or overloading
  • Muscle tear / rupture / strain of the calf muscle
